What People Say

Most Liked

The standout dishes at Triangle Restaurant quickly earn their reputation, especially the biscuits & gravy that many rave about. Customers adore the friendly service, noting how the staff makes everyone feel right at home. Families commend the cozy atmosphere, perfect for sharing meals and bonding over comfort food. Breakfast options are particularly popular, especially the Viking breakfast with eggs and ham, not to mention their fluffy pancakes that receive high praise. The great coffee also ranks highly with regulars who appreciate the quality of the brew. Additionally, patrons love the eclectic menu, showcasing local specialties, and flexibility for accommodating various dietary needs.

Most Disliked

Some diners may find the exterior and interior of Triangle Restaurant a bit unassuming, leading to misconceptions about the quality of food within. During peak hours, particularly on Saturdays, the restaurant can feel crowded, potentially causing longer wait times. A few visitors noted the standard diner fare may not cater to all tastes, as the menu primarily focuses on traditional comfort foods. While most patrons love the laid-back vibe, some feel the dinner options lack the variety available during lunch and breakfast times. Lastly, as it’s a busy spot, customers looking for a quieter dining experience may find visiting during peak hours less than ideal.

Came here back in the summer for the first time. It doesn't look like much on the outside or the inside but man their food is good! My hunny & I were both pleasantly surprised! We got biscuits & gravy, Belgian waffle, bacon & hasbrowns. All of it was delicious 😋 it's especially hard to find good biscuits & gravy & they did it right ✅️ our waitress was super nice & made us feel welcome. Hidden gem, will def go back!

Me and my family used to come here all the time, its nice to see it's still such a warm and welcoming environment even after I haven't been in a while. The people that work here are always very sweet and attentive, wonderful place to make great memories

This past January marked the 1st time in over 20 years since the last time I dined in this venue. Lived in Round Lake from May '89-Nov '02 which was when I was in & out of this place, stayed in Lake Bluff for a few months till I moved into a brand new house in Beach Park in April '03. I guess since living on the far NE side of the county, found myself eating at family restaurants much closer to home I suppose but the irony is that I attend a church in Grayslake a couple of Sundays a month for over the last 10 years. Took me this long to finally stop in on the way home one Sunday, sad. The food here has always been good and I love dining in at family breakfast restaurants. Good ol' traditional home cooking at reasonable prices in a local-owned dining space that's kept clean/sanitized, like I said good food bolstered by exceptional service. Told my wife that The Triangle is gonna be a go-to restaurant restaurant from now on when coming home from church or if we happen to be in the area. Always happy to support local!

We visited on a Saturday morning, right at prime breakfast time. Place was busy but we still got seated right away. Pretty standard breakfast fare, had the Viking breakfast, eggs, ham were good. Pancakes were better than average, don't miss those! We will be back for sure.

This is a go to spot for me and my wife just because we live right here in Hainesville. But the truth is we've tried a whole bunch of breakfast places and unfortunately for them this quaint little spot has set the bar. Great food and prompt service all the time. I wish I could tell you what to recommend but honestly you should just try stuff, there are a lot of items I like here for breakfast

My son frequently dines here with his girlfriend and today he took me! Very impressive tasty dishes! Large menu selection! Place was packed on a Sunday early afternoon but was able to get seating! Tried the saganaki, sweet and sour cabbage soup, spinach pie and New York Chicken Wrap and shared it all. All was cooked to perfection! Highly recommended!
